Best Reviewed Flicker Free 1920x1200 IPS/PLS Monitors

Always purchase from retailers with hassle free return and exchange policies.  Read retailers return and exchange policies before buying.[/center]

My recommendations are based off of testing more than 60 monitors and reading in-depth reviews from over fifteen reviewers across the realm.  Some reviewers do not provide enough information to truly know how good a display is.

Best Monitor Review Sites: Monitor Review Resource Center

Many monitors not found in this thread likely perform well, but it makes more sense to buy well reviewed monitors, and I like having sources to refer to, even though I do not always agree with them.

If a monitor is not mentioned it is because it has not been reviewed properly, been reviewed at all or is mediocre.  All monitors suffer from regular quality control issues: back-light bleeding and pixel issues (dead and stuck pixels).

Recommendations are PWM or Flicker Free:

I do not recommend monitors which use low LED PWM Dimming frequencies since they ruin motion clarity and cause some people to suffer from health issues like head aches and eyestrain.  LED PWM Dimming Side Effects.

16:10 Monitor Scaling 16:9 1080p

Most 1200p monitors can not scale 16:9 (1920x1080 & 1280x720) signals properly without stretching the image when connected to an external device like a console.  Eizo and NEC Monitors can almost always properly scale 16:9 signals.

Best Monitors

The Asus BE24AQLBH and VG248QV (75hz) are the best choice for PC-only use while the Eizo CG246 and CX241 are the best all-around monitors since they are glow free, can be hardware calibrated and can scale 16:9 sources properly when connected to external devices like consoles and cable boxes.  The Eizo EV2457-BK is also pretty accurate and can scale 16:9 sources correctly, but it quite expensive. BenQ BL2581T is very accurate, has high contrast (1200:1), balanced overdrive (AMA High setting) without overshoot, but has a high 26ms signal delay or input lag, and can not scale 16:9 signals properly if not sent from a PC.

The NEC PA243W is also excellent, but like the Eizo monitors it also uses a wide gamut panel meant for professional use such has calibrating it and using it for work which requires accurate color with programs which support color management.  The iiyama XUB2495WSU and S24H650GDU are also very accurate, and all of these along with the HP Z24N G2 are better than the Dell U2415H since the Dell is less accurate as well as suffers from more overshoot ghosting.

The HP Z24n G2 (70hz) and iiyama XUB2395WSU (48-75hz both support) which makes them the best for PC gaming, however, both are less accurate than the Asus BE24AQLBH, especially the XUB2395W which can only cover 90% of the sRGB color space which is a worse result than most affordable/budget 1080p monitors, many of which also support AMD Free-Sync and 75hz now.

Accurate matte 1920x1200 IPS with a fully adjustable stand, Displayport, Dual-Link DVI, HDMI, VGA, 4x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio In & Out.  It suffers from slight blue and gamma under-coverage, but is still quite accurate.

Asus BE24AQLBH

Review by Alexander Gryzhin (=DEAD=)
Measurements and Review by Belgium Hardware

Very accurate matte 1920x1200 IPS with Displayport, Dual-Link DVI, HDMI, VGA, 2x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio In & Out.  Set the Trace Free (overdrive) setting to 40 to get rid of overshoot ghosting.

Asus PA248QV

It can not properly display 16:9 (1920x1080) resolutions from non-PC sources.

Review by PRAD

Fully adjust-able, matte (grain or sparkle free), fake bezel or frame-less, 75hz, 1920x1200 IPS panel with Displayport, HDMI, VGA, 2x USB 3.0x and 3.5mm Audio In & Out.  The PA248QV has a 1,000:1 contrast, 95% sRGB color space coverage out of the box, excellent preset color accuracy aside from a slight preset blue tint (7200k default color temperature).  The PA248QV has negligible input lag, fast and overshoot free pixel response times at 75hz when the preset Trace Free 60 overdrive setting is used.

Review by PRAD

Very accurate matte wide gamut panel with a 14 bit 3D Look Up Table, hardware calibration (Pallet Master; requires colorimeter and has some issues mentioned here by PRAD), height adjustable stand, an SD Card Reader and 2x USB 3.1.  It has supports 1:1 pixel mapping and can scale 1920x1080 without relying on a graphics card to prevent distortion (stretching).  It has negligible input lag (<3ms SMT Tool measurement by Playwares and <3ms top screen Leo Bodnar device measurement by PRAD), as well as fairly balanced overdrive with a bit of overshoot with AMA set to On, which is the default setting.

BenQ BL2581T

Review by PRAD

The BenQ BL2581T uses a matte 1920x1200 LH AH-IPS panel with a fully adjustable stand, Displayport Duak-Link DVI, VGA, 4x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio In & Out ports.  The BL2518T is very accurate, has high contrast (1200:1), balanced overdrive (AMA High setting) without overshoot, but has a high 26ms signal delay or input lag, and can not scale 16:9 signals properly if not sent from a PC.

Eizo

Eizo C240

The Eizo CS240 has a wide gamut monitor created for professionals who calibrate their monitors with an accurate colorimeter, which is why it has 16 Bit LUT and color compensation. It has very slow pixel response times which prevent it from being a good professional and gaming monitor.

Eizo CG246

Eizo EV2457-BK

Review by PRAD

The Eizo EV2457-BK uses a matte 1920x1200 LH AH-IPS panel with a fully adjustable stand, Displayport In & Out, Duak-Link DVI, HDMI, 4x USB 3.1 and 3.5mm Audio In & Out ports.  The EV2457-BK can scale external/non-PC 16:9 signals correctly, is fairly accurate and fast pixel response time wise (Standard overdrive setting), but has a 12ms delay according to PRAD's oscilloscope measurements.

HP

HP E24i

6 Bit +FRC PLS. It lacks HDMI and I do not know if it can scale external (console) 16:9 sources properly and it has a smaller color space/less saturated colors than the others, but has a clearer, semi-glossy coating

Low-ish sRGB color space coverage (89.5% measured by IT Hardware PL; 93-97% gamut volume), but otherwise excellent 2018 model with 48-75hz AMD Free-Sync.  It has a fully adjustable stand, Displayport, HDMI, VGA, 3.5mm Audio In & Out.
