Best Reviewed Flicker Free 25" 1440p AHVA/IPS/PLS

Always purchase from retailers with hassle free return and exchange policies.  Read retailers return and exchange policies before buying.[/center]

My recommendations are based off of testing more than 60 monitors and reading in-depth reviews from over fifteen reviewers across the realm.

Best Monitor Review Sites: Monitor Review Resource Center

Many monitors not found in this thread likely perform well, but it makes more sense to buy well reviewed monitors, and I like having sources to refer to, even though I do not always agree with them.

If a monitor is not mentioned it is because it has not been reviewed properly, been reviewed at all or is mediocre.  All monitors suffer from regular quality control issues: back-light bleeding and pixel issues (dead and stuck pixels).

Recommendations are PWM or Flicker Free:

I do not recommend monitors which use low LED PWM Dimming frequencies since they ruin motion clarity and cause some people to suffer from health issues like head aches and eyestrain.  LED PWM Dimming Side Effects.

Best Monitors

The BenQ PD2500Q, Dell U2515H, Dell U2518D, Dell U2520D and Philips 258B6QUEB are the best, and are all very similar, but Dell offers the best warranty service.  All have height adjustable stands, USB ports, very accurate color presets, fast (for a 60hz display) pixel response times and negligible input lag.  Choosing the best option out of these mainly comes down to availability, aesthetic or design preference and considering the fact that the U2518D suffers from screen tearing when connected to the PS4.  Here's video proof and a post about the issue in the Dell forums.

The U2518D is more accurate, suffers from less gradient banding and less overshoot ghosting, but has slower over-all pixel response times than the U2520D.

Dell U2516D

Review by Hardware Info

The Dell UP2516D is a wide gamut monitor made for those who use color managed programs to work with the Adobe RGB color space. It should not be purchased for gaming.

Dell U2518D

Review by PC Monitors
Review by Rtings

Matte 2560x1440, 8 bit LG AH-IPS panel with Displayport, Displayport Out (for MST daisy chaining), HDMI 2.0, Mini-Displayport, 3.5mm Audio Out and 4x USB 3.0.  The U2518D suffers from screen tearing when connected to the PS4.  Here's video proof and a post about the issue in the Dell forums.

Dell U2520D

Review by Rtings

Fully adjust-able, matte, 2560x1440 IPS panel with Displayport, HDMI 2.0, 2x USB-C, 3x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio Out.  The U2520D has 1000:1 contrast, accurate colors aside from marginally too high preset gamma, full (99.6% measured) sRGB color space coverage, negligible input lag and good 60hz pixel response times aside from a bit of overshoot.

The older U2518D is more accurate, suffers from less gradient banding and less overshoot ghosting, but has slower over-all pixel response times.

Philips

Philips 258B6QJEB

Review by Hardware.Info

The Philips has excellent color presets like the Dell U2515H, but a frame of input lag for no reason.

Philips 258B6QUEB

Test Results by Belgium Hardware
Review by Les Numeriques

The Philips 258B6QUEB has outstanding (extremely accurate) color presets, a fully adjust-able stand, tons of inputs (Displayport, Dual-Link DVI, HDMI min-Displayport, USB-C, 3x USB 3.0, VGA, and 3.5mm Audio In & Out), competitive (for a 60hz panel) pixel response times once the overdrive setting is increased (set to Faster), and can be considered delay free. It is an excellent monitor, but it's not really worth paying a premium for unless USB-C is desired.
