Acer Predator XN253QP

Added the Review by PRAD to my Best Reviewed Flicker 240hz TN Panels buying guide.

Matte 1920x1080 144hz AUO TN panel with a fully adjustable stand, Nvidia G-Sync (30-144hz), Displayport, HDMI, 4x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio Out.  The XN253QP has mediocre image quality (even for a TN panel) can only cover 90-91% of the sRGB color space, and has low and non linear preset gamma resulting in washed out colors and shades.  At 60hz PRAD measured a 23.2ms signal delay which is high for a 60hz panel, and a negligible 1.5ms at 144hz, and it offers top tier (fast and overshoot free) overdrive performance when the default Normal Over Drive setting is used at both 60hz and 144hz.  The XN253P offers excellent gaming performance at 144hz, but has bad image quality compared to multiple competitors which offer equal gaming performance for a similar price.

Asus CG32UQ

Added the Review by PC Monitors to my Best Reviewed Flicker Free 32" 4K AHVA/IPS/PLS buying guide.

Matte, fully adjust-able, wide gamut (DCI-P3 or HDR capable), 3840x2160 VA panel with 40-60hz Adaptive Sync, Displayport, 3x HDMI 2.0, 2.x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio Out.  The CG32UQ's default Racing Mode is very accurate, has >3,400:1 contrast, but over-saturates the color of SDR (HDTV/REC709 & sRGB) content since it has a wide gamut panel which covers 96% the DCI-P3 color space.  The CG32UQ has  low (8.7ms measured by with the SMT Tool) input lag and decent overdrive for a 60hz VA panel, but it does smear fast transitions of some dark colors and shades, and there's no way to reduce the smearing without introducing obvious overshoot ghosting.

Gigabyte Aorus FI27Q

Added the Review by PC Lab PL to my Best Reviewed Flicker Free 144-165hz 1440p Monitors and Best Reviewed Flicker Free 27" 1440p AHVA/IPS/PLS buying guides.

Fully adjust-able matte 2560x1440, 165hz wide gamut/HDR IPS panel with AMD Free-Sync, Displayport, 2x HDMI, 2x USB 2.0 and 3.5mm Audio In & Out.  The FI27Q over-saturates the color of SDR (HDTV/REC 709 & sRGB) out of the box by over 30% since it has a wide gamut panel which tries to cover the DCI-P3 (HDR) color space, but it is very accurate preset gamma and color (previous 3x hyperlink source=PC Lab PL).  The sRGB emulation mode of the unit IT Hardware tested is good while the FI27Q Belgium Hardware tested significantly reduces the gamma and RGB level color accuracy (Standard versus sRGB), as well as looks washed out since the sRGB mode's gamma is too low.  The FI27Q has negligible input lag and less (2.7%) overshoot ghosting than the AD27Q (20%), but slower pixel response times resulting in more color streaking or ghosting.

Lenovo Y27GQ-25

Added the Review by =DEAD= to my Best Reviewed Flicker Free 144-165hz 1440p Monitors and Best Reviewed Flicker Free 27" 1440p AHVA/IPS/PLS buying guides.

Fully adjust-able matte, 240hz, 2560x1440 TN panel with Displayport, G-Sync (24-240hz range over Displayport), Harmon Kardon 360 Speakers, HDMI 2.0, 3x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio Out. The Lenovo Y27GQ-2 can fully cover the SDR (HDTV & sRGB) color space and only slightly over-saturates colors, is quite accurate over all, and can be improved by selected the sRGB mode, but has average 800:1 contrast and suffers from obvious dark scene banding.  The Lenovo has very fast pixel response times with no overshoot when the default Normal Over Drive setting is used; =DEAD= does not test display lag.

LG 27GL850

Added the Review by =DEAD= and the Measurements and Review by NL Hardware to my Best Reviewed Flicker Free 144-165hz 1440p Monitors and Best Reviewed Flicker Free 27" 1440p AHVA/IPS/PLS buying guides.

Very accurate and fully adjustable matte 2560x1440 144hz wide gamut LG IPS with G-Sync compatible AMD Free-Sync (48-144hz over Displayport and 48-100hz over HDMI) Displayport, 2x HDMI 2.0. RGB Lighting, 2x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio Out. To prevent the wide gamut (DCI-P3/HDR) panel from over-saturating the color of SDR (HDTV/REC 709 & sRGB) content, the 27GL850 needs to be set to the sRGB mode (which is fairly accurate and has adjustable brightness, but has a preset pink tint and locked color controls[/url]).  The 27GL850 has quite accurate and nearly full DCI-P3/HDR color space coverage, but has a slight, though easily reduce-able preset blue tint.  The 27GL850 has negligible or very low input lag and very fast pixel response times with minimal overshoot, but the overdrive needs to be set from Normal to Fast at 144hz to provide the fastest pixel response times, and to Normal at 60hz to prevent obvious overshoot ghosting.

LG 32UL950

Added the Pro Hardware PL to my Best Reviewed Flicker Free 32" 4K AHVA/IPS/PLS buying guide.

Fully adjustable matte 3840x2160 LG AH-IPS with AMD Free-Sync (40-60hz) Displayport, hardware calibration (requires compatible colorimeter), HDMI 2.0, HDR Color*, Thunderbolt, 2x USB 3.0, USB-C.  The LG needs to be hardware calibrated to be truly competitive, as well as operate as well as possible.

*Belgium Hardware was able to achieve 90% DCI-P3 (HDR) color space coverage through hardware calibrate with an accurate colorimeter (X-Rite i1 Spectrophometer) while Rtings unit was limited to 76% DCI-P3 which is achievable by standard or non-wide gamut panels, and basically fake HDR.

The unit PRAD tested uses high khz PWM (non detect-able flicker), has high DCI-P3 color space coverage (91% before calibration and 95% after) and decent preset color accuracy.  The preset color accuracy of the unit Rtings tested is mediocre for the price, and it uses motion clarity ruining 240hz LED PWM Dimming or flicker.

Philips E-Line 245E1S

Measurements and Review by NL Hardware.

Matte, 75hz 2560x1440 IPS panel with AMD Free-Sync (49-75hz), Displayport, HDMI, VGA and 3.5mm Audio Out.  The Philips 245E1S is very accurate both gamma and color wise, can fully cover the SDR (HDTV/REC709 & sRGB) color spaces and has negligible input lag and fast pixel response times for a 75hz non-TN panel.  The Philips 245E1S is a great budget monitor for casual gaming and work which requires accurate color.

Samsung U32R59C

Added the Review by Tom's Hardware to my Best Reviewed Flicker Free 32" 4K AHVA/IPS/PLS buying guide.

Matte 3840x2160, curved (1500R) VA panel with Displayport, HDMI 2.0, and 3.5mm Audio Out.  The U32R59C has very skewed and black crush (loss of detail) inducing gamma caused by the incorrectly preset HDMI Black Level setting which is preset to Low for a 16-235 signal while the Samsung outputs a 0-255 signal and needs to have its HDMI Black Level set to Normal.  the U32R59C has negligible input lag (for a 60hz panel) and fast pixel response times for a 60hz VA panel.

ViewSonic XG270QG

Added the Review by PRAD to my Best Reviewed Flicker Free 144-165hz 1440p Monitors and Best Reviewed Flicker Free 27" 1440p AHVA/IPS/PLS buying guides.

Matte, fully adjust-able, 165hz, HDR/wide gamut, 2560x1440 resolution IPS* panel with G-Sync and 120hz ULMB (back-light strobing) over Displayport.  The ViewSonic XG270QG has Displayport, HDMI 1.4, 3x USB 3.0 and 3.5mm Audio Out.  The XG270QG is very accurate aside from a slight warm preset green tint, and can fully cover the SDR (HDTV/REC 709 & sRGB) color spaces, but has average contrast (850:1) and over-saturates the color of non DCI-P3 content (HDTV/REC 709 & sRGB) since it uses a wide gamut and HDR capable panel without a properly functioning sRGB emulation mode.  The ViewSonic XG270QG has negligible input lag and fast pixel response times for a non-TN panel at 144-165hz with the response time is set to the Standard (no overshoot; 60hz measurements by PRAD) and Advanced (faster but with minor overshoot; 165hz measurements by PRAD) settings.  The XG270QG does not support YCbCr 4:2:2 and YCbCr 4:4:4 signals properly when connected via HDMI; read the Unterstützte Farbmodelle und Signallevel (Supported colour models and signal level) section at the bottom of page 8 in PRAD's review for more information.
